Melbourne Martini Espresso

It's always nice to support and buy Australian, not to mention have a drop of alcohol designed to keep you alert, awake, and aware.

It’s always nice to support and buy Australian, not to mention have a drop of alcohol designed to keep you alert, awake, and aware. That’s the sort of thing you’ll find with Melbourne Martini’s Espresso drink. So what’s it like?

Well, if you’ve ever fancied a drop of coffee and wanted to ensure it was alcoholic, that’s basically what Melbourne Martini’s Espresso caters with, mixing cold drip, a chocolate flavouring, and vodka.

In a way, we’re reminded of Mr Black, only much less syrupy, as Melbourne Martini Espresso is less a liqueur and more a coffee flavoured vodka.

Credit to Melbourne Martini, because the jar design is cute, giving you something trendy and hipster to drink from, which echoes that feeling of drinking from mason jars.

As for the liquid itself, it’s a little harsh thanks to the vodka, and while the chocolate and sugar makes it sweet, it’s less directly drinkable than Mr Black.

For an espresso drink, it’s also relatively expensive, costing as much as the martini would cost in a bar, at about $10 per drink.

That means the four pack will set you back close to $40.

Is it worth it?

We’re not sure, but if you fancy something coffee-like and prefer it to be vodka-based rather than a slow, syrupy drink to end the night, Melbourne Martini’s Espresso could be a good drink to start with.
